Civil War Web

Site Links

I apologize if this page took a little too long to down load but I could not help but to use this photo of Confederates manning the guns at Fort Barrancs in Pensacola, Florida, some of the men in this photo could very well be my ancestors.  At the beginning of the war many of my Alabama ancestors joined the 1st Alabama Infantry in the Perote Guards, their company flag is now in the capable hands of the Alabama Department of Archives and History in Montgomery, Alabama.  The 1st Alabama was trained on the guns in the photo during the opening months of the war.  One of those hard luck regiments in the war, they spent much of their time being captured and paroled several times.

Well, enough of that story, here are the links you came to this page for.  I hope you enjoy them.  If you have sites you would recommend or would like to have your unit page listed here please e-mail us with that information.
