In loving memory of

Diana (Sissy) Matheny Kindred

24 Jan 1972 - 16 July 2000

My wife Sissy was fatally injured in an auto accident on the evening of 15 July 2000, our wedding day.  A rotting tree by the side of the highway in Columbus, MS fell on our vehicle, a limb coming through the windshield hit Sissy.  She died Sunday morning, 16 July in Memphis, TN.

Sissy was very excited about our business and was great help to me in every aspect of Military Warehouse.  Only a week after her death many of the items she had provided so much assistance with began arriving from the manufacturers.

Sissy was one who never asked for anything, but she was always trying to do all she could to insure those around her had what they needed.    She appreciated everything about people.  I can't say enough about her to justify what a wonderful person she was.  She loved life so much.

I want to thank all of those who helped us at the accident, the EMT's, the men from C Shift Fire Station #3 Columbus Fire Department; the emergency room staff at Baptist Memorial in Columbus, MS; my friend Don Hogan and his flight crew of Rocky Mountain Helicopters from North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS and the staff at Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis.  They did all they could for her and my thanks to you for you efforts.  You were wonderful to us.

It is very hard to put into words what you feel about someone you dearly loved when they are gone, I know that I have not done her justice here but maybe one day I will find the proper words that escape me now.

Don't walk in front of me,
I may not follow
Don't walk behind me,
I may not lead
Just walk beside me
and be my friend.
